The regular season culminated on January 8, 2023, with the final weekend exclusively showcasing intra-division games, maintaining a tradition established since 2010. The season’s competitive structure ensures each team faces a diverse array of opponents: two matchups against each team in its own division, one game versus each of the four teams from a division in its conference, and another against each of the four teams from a division in the other conference.

Thanksgiving: Just like every year since 2006, three games happened on Thursday, November 24. Buffalo played against Detroit, New York Giants played against Dallas, and New England played against Minnesota. Buffalo, Dallas, and Minnesota were the winners.

Christmas: Christmas Day was on a Sunday, so the NFL changed the schedule. For the first time in 2022, three games were played on Christmas Day. Green Bay played against Miami, Denver played against the Los Angeles Rams in the afternoon, and Tampa Bay played against Arizona in the evening. There was also a game on Christmas Eve on NFL Network, where Las Vegas played against Pittsburgh. The teams that won on Christmas Day were Green Bay, Los Angeles, Tampa Bay, and Pittsburgh.
